BEACH LIMING is a very Caribbean affair. On a moonlight night around Grenada members of the local community can be found on their local beach ‘liming’ with their family, friends and partners. 

A Beach Lime is a picnic – a cook up on the beach either during the day or on moonlight nights. It’s a gathering of friends and strangers drinking rum and beers, eating food of their choice or prepared on the beach and taking part in activities such as swimming, playing music, cricket, football, dancing, playing cards, croquet or just leaning back on a tree talking and generally having fun. 

The moonlight night beach lime is very beautiful. Cooking on a pile of wood under the stars while enjoying the reflection of the moon dancing on the water is magical. You can have a moonlight swim, or just sit on the beach with your friends and "ole talk" and have a good time. You drink as much rum, sweet drinks, beers and water as you can take at the lime.
