A town called Megrin was established at St David’s Point in 1609 and is still pinpointed on the map of Grenada. It is believed that this town was destroyed during the 1795-96 Fedon conflict. The story goes that during the fighting between the British and the insurgents, the town was destroyed and never rebuilt.

Since that time, centuries of diverse and rich historical influences in Grenada have left the parish of St. David with nutmeg, cocoa, cloves and variety of different spices as well as remnants of the sugar era and major historical milestones. St David’s boasts eleven beaches, rivers and spectacular land and seascapes. The parish also has the majority of headlands on the island of Grenada.

Megrin Tours takes its name from that town and works closely with the local community to offer visitors tours that are unique and fresh. We cover adventure, eco tourism, trekking, mountain climbing, individual vacation, special event, culture expedition (village visits), hand weaving and craft activities, cooking local dishes, ‘beach limes’ and, of course, socializing at local events.
